I remember when I was a Deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles that a significant number of the “hardened” criminals I had in jail or arrested on the streets had LOVE tattooed on the knuckles of one hand and HATE tattooed on the other. They always chose the predominate hand for HATE and the sub-dominate hand for LOVE.
Maybe it is our personal choices that react the same. We have the choice to be predominately LOVE or we can chose to be predominately HATE.

Yea Bob, I’d say the criminals you describe are self-destructive. I’ll bet you’re glad to be doing something else now.
