“What Chu Want!?!”

what chu want.jpg

What do you want from tai chi, from life?  Do you know?  Of course you do, if not consciously then unconsciously.  If you don’t consciously know, how will you get there?  Meditation is a key, tai chi is moving meditation.

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.”
Lao Tzu

Your thoughts?

Well, one thing I have wanted is to perform tai chi properly.

When I began, I asked my teacher, “Have you ever done a perfect set of tai chi?”

I’ve never forgotten the reply: “No … but I intend to!”

Funnily enough, we just did a post on training having a purpose, which is very similar to what you just said.

You got to have a purpose or aim then you have a point to all the training you’re doing.

Walt,

That’s a great little story. It demonstrates what we hear over and over from masters: there is always room for improvement and there will always be more to learn.

Taijipedia,

Your last post says it very well. The more specific we are the more we tend to learn. The deeper we go, the deeper our understanding.
